Celtic Fyre performing the jig Kenny Gillies of Portnalong

This little video was shot as a bit of promotional fun for the band Celtic Fyre in 2016. The recording was made in the morning at Pegasus Studios in Cairns with engineer Nigel Pegrum, and in the afternoon shot at a secret location in the Kuranda Range hills above Cairns by Colin & Jennifer Pett of Mod Films.

The video features Dave (Mojo) Mullen on guitar, Amanda Stephenson on bass, Alison Skardon on fiddle, Fraser Martin on bagpipes, and our unsuspecting bored lady waiting for a bus, Sheila Pulis. When Sheila is not taking part in silly videos, she works relentlessly in Kuranda's Wee Bit of Scotland, the Kuranda Fudge Bar.

The popular jig, Kenny Gillies of Portnalong, was written by Peter MacFarquhar of Snizort, Isle of Skye, Scotland.
